Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

I Love Autumn

Just going to say a few words here. As you can see I have a double feature going on. I just had to finally get my Autumn journal up and running and get all my goodies up here for all to see. I know, I'm a slacker but what can I say. So what we have here this week is my Featured Fractal Artist, my Autumn Feature, My Opinion about the election and just some goodies. Please feel free not to have to check out the opinion on the election. I am not a political person but I just had to say a few words. So I hope you all enjoy all these goodies. Autumn Feature

Here we have some of my favorite pictures that use the beautiful colors of Autumn. Autumn has become my favorite season of all year. I don't mind the cool brisk days and nights but I have simply fell in love with the colors of Autumn. The orange, red, yellow, brown and green colors of mother nature taking it's course. Don't get me wrong I like Spring and the new blooming flowers but there is just so much beauty out there during this time of year. Some trees that just hang on to those last few leaves until the last minute, the breeze making the leaves dance in circles and of course our friends Halloween and Thanksgiving. My Opinion

Here I am just sharing my opinion about the election. I think it's great that the American people stood up and said enough. They finally decided it was time for a change and elected Barack Obama. I am just really happy to say that I took part of this history making election and that people set aside the color of his skin and listened to his words about making a change. He has a long road ahead of him that will have some pot holes but instead of cruising in the granny lane he is willing to take on the hammer lane and get something done. I found a few kool pix I wanted to share in regards to our new president elect Barack Obama. Please enjoy.
